EDUCACHESS is a very ambitious project, it acts upon various fields and it offers its learning material free of charge.
The funding is only necessary in the initial phase of project to cover the expenses of the illustrations, programming of the multimedia interface and its interactive contents, specialist consultancy in the various themes of the “Play and learn” learning material, payment for the rights of the collection of books and dossiers, translations, logistics expenses, etc.
Once the learning material has been produced, the maintenance and updating of these contents can be carried out in a cooperative and non-profitable way, without the need for further funding.
At first, if a collaboration agreement is signed with an important internet services company, the internet costs could be saved, while still allowing access to the interactive multimedia contents to millions of users.
To date the project has been funded with financial help from public institutions and from the profits made from the book sales (Balàgium has assigned its entire profits to the development of the EDUCACHESS project).
As the project develops, Balàgium will gradually transfer the rights of the learning material of this project to the Association or to the collaborating institutions via agreements.
It is worth noting that the promoters of the project have been dedicating many hours towards it for years.
Finally, to develop the learning material more swiftly, we will continue requesting financial help from the institutions. Regarding crowdfunding, we begin this campaign without intermediaries because most of the learning material has already been completed.
The idea that the learning content belongs to everyone and is available for everyone to use, is an objective which is totally coherent with the micro-sponsorship philosophy.

Budget
The budget included in the attached PDF, details the initial phase of the project approximately. It is broken down into the diverse lines of work. 
On the EDUCACHESS website we will periodically publish the expenses generated, together with the donations received.
To guarantee maximum transparency, we will seek collaboration periodically in order to carry out accountancy audits and develop the project further.
